FOR AGRICULTURE COMMISSIONER RACE IN 2022
GOP PRIMARY: Republican incumbent Sid Miller is running for re-election, having decided not to challenge Governor Abbott in 2022. Miller had won re-election for a second term in 2018 after defeating two primary challengers and prevailed in the general election against Democrat Kim Olson.
Challenger for Ag. Commissioner: Representative James White. White, who is black, chairs the House Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee and previously served on the Agriculture and Livestock Committee.
